I’m Jade – I’m a Childfree Content Creator with my own YouTube Childfree Living Channel .

I realised at a very young age that I had no maternal instincts or desire to be a mother.

I come from a very traditional culture and was born to immigrant parents in the UK.  The childfree lifestyle is VERY much frowned upon. In fact, it doesn’t exist. If you say you don’t want kids (like I did when I was 12) people just frown, shake their heads and tell you you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Years and decades went by where I was mocked, spoken to like a child and made to feel like there was something ‘wrong’ with me because I didn’t buy into the motherhood narrative.

My channel is a community for others to feel safe, entertained and to know that they’re not alone in their life choices. It’s something I would have enjoyed and really needed growing up when I felt like an outcast and made to feel guilty and selfish for my choices.

I’ve also created a paid, more intimate space – The Cosy Childfree Club, this is for those looking for more support, guidance, and confidence on living a life true to themselves, minus the guilt. We all know from judgments we can get that our own self worth and confidence levels can take a huge knock when it comes to sticking to our choices and not folding into societal pressures.

People don’t realise how frustrating it can be when people ask you personal questions about your choices, especially when you’ve explained yourself before to be made to feel like you’re silly or you don’t know your own mind. Not to mention those asking personal questions do not know that person’s whole story. It’s heartbreaking to see and hear that there are so many women out there who have caved into the pressures of motherhood and are now living a life they are not remotely happy with & that they didn’t want in the first place.

I’m not easily led or influenced. However, I do know many others are easily led and heavily influenced by the cultures and societies they’re exposed to. No one wants to feel left out, I get it. Humans want connection, to feel loved and to be validated, to some degree. And many of my subscribers send me emails and messages thanking me for my videos which have helped them feel more relaxed about their choices or made them feel less alone and heard.
